What I'm reading currently:

Kraig's Modern Magick
Cicero(s)' Self-Initiation...

Lesser Banishing Pentagram Ritual (LBRP)
I have got this one memorized and I do this anywhere between 2 to 5 times a day. I have been told this is quite alot at my level of experience but it feels right to me and my situation so I will continue in this manner. I cant coordinate the vibrations, the sharp motions, my arms or my feet but I keep trying. It felt awkward, at first and still does, but I am so determined to learn all of the basics that I can see past the clumsiness. I guess POS was correct in that regard, I am quite "tenacious".

As for his comment on my efforts to doing the Work GD style, I am, but not within the support group of a lodge. I have taken on the daunting task (so I'm told) of trying to perform the Self-Initiation with some guidance of more experienced folks. I am currently gathering up the necessary materials I need for the Self-Initiation.

So therein lies my intentions of starting this blog, in a sea of more seasoned ceremonial magicians, I would appreciate any input that readers may have. I may be opening myself to being shred to pieces, but hell, I didnt sign up for this for the bandaids and the lollipops.

As for my commitment to GD in general, a VERY WISE and RESPECTED man told me to try GD at least for a season. I'm still torn on whether that means a "season of my life" or just 3 months. Time and my tenacity will tell...

i spend a lot of effort trying not to fall on my face when doing the LBRP, but that's true in pretty much every situation involving physical motion in my everyday life ;-) (Climbing stairs in a cassock -- hard...)

He says tenacious, I say overachiever(with a smile).

Thank you Simon! I have definitely had more than my fair share of failures though. Failures can either can either drive you insane, cause you to overcompensate or inspire one to learn from them. I really hope I'm in the latter category. Thanks for the smile! :)
